I'm an AI only donor from Colorado, looking to donate to established singles or couples who wish to have sole custody of the child(ren). Shipping within the contiguous US is not a problem, unless local laws in your area say otherwise. As far as post-donation contact goes, I would love to receive an update once in a while, but I do not want to play a substantial role in raising the child. For those who are interested, I am willing to become a known donor, meaning that I will agree to meet with the child at least once after they turn 18, if it is the child's wish.

I am a happily married women for 3 1/2 yrs. We are unable to get pregnant except through donor. We are in Texas. Can you help?

Texas donor (Tyler area) able to supply pictures and portfolio of eight (four male, and four female) successful inseminations.

I must interview the prospective recipients prior to making a donation decision. I am only looking for situations where existing married couples have determined that the male partner is the infertile of the pair. Must provide good evidence of being able to provide a loving, home atmosphere to a prospective child.

I will provide a sealed envelope to be given to the child about his "birth father" when that child is able to understand the issue (usually, after age 18.) I do not expect to make contact with the child, and would not expect them to contact me, unless it is for medical reasons.

If siblings (to the first child) are wanted, that can be arranged as well, but we must work with a reputable sperm bank for storage.

References available upon request.

Single woman in East Texas:

I appreciate the difficulty of finding a suitable donor. The pains of not having a child are obvious. However, it is my belief that the proper care, training, and nuture a child needs can best come from a loving mother and a loving father.

Please do not construe my comments as any sort of repudiation of you, or your potential abilities as a mother. It is just that raising children is a hard task, and sometimes you need someone to assist in that task. Perhaps you could do it alone--and I respect that. But I couldn't feel comfortable knowing I brought a child into the world that didn't have all the advantages of a loving mother and father. Too many children today are brought up with a single parent, and I think that will harm society in the long run.

I ask that you seek elsewhere. I would always fear that the resulting child would want to contact me all the more. I would like to give the child every potential for success in the world.

May God be with you, as you find your own happiness.
